This Privacy Policy describes how Interest Forge LLC, doing business as PizzaLogic ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit pizzalogic.app (the "Site") or use the PizzaLogic mobile application (the "App").
1. Amazon Associates Disclosure
Interest Forge LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites and apps to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Both the Site and the App contain affiliate links to Amazon product pages (e.g., pizza stones, peels, flour). Tapping or clicking an affiliate link opens your external browser or the Amazon app - links are not rendered in an in-app WebView. Once you leave PizzaLogic via an affiliate link, Amazon's own privacy policy governs your data. Affiliate links are accessible in the free version of the App without any paywall.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Voluntarily
When you interact with our Site or App, you may choose to provide us with certain personal information, specifically:
- Feedback & Support: If you contact us through our feedback form or via email, we collect your name, email address, the content of your message, your IP address, and browser user agent information. Your current calculator settings and browser information may also be included automatically for debugging purposes. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and improve our services.
B. Information Collected Automatically (Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on our Site (via Google Tag Manager), Firebase Analytics in our App, and the Meta Pixel on our Site (via Google Tag Manager) to monitor and analyze usage and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. This data helps us improve our calculator logic, user experience, and marketing efforts. The information collected automatically may include:
- Device Attributes: Browser type, operating system, and device model.
- Usage Data: IP address (anonymized), pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs.
- App Metrics: Session duration, feature engagement (such as calculator interactions, style selections, and affiliate link clicks), and app version.
Analytics events are anonymized and do not contain personally identifiable information. No crash reporting service (such as Firebase Crashlytics) is enabled in our App.
C. On-Device Data (App Only)
The PizzaLogic App stores all calculator inputs, dough recipes, saved recipes, and user preferences (such as theme, temperature units, and dough wastage settings) locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to PizzaLogic servers or any third party. Your calculator data stays entirely on your device.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Site.
- Google Analytics Cookies: These are used to collect information about how visitors use our Site. We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage analytics event tracking. You can opt out of having your activity available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Meta Pixel: We use the Meta Pixel (loaded via Google Tag Manager) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). The Meta Pixel may collect information about your browsing activity, device information, and interactions with our Site. This data is used to create targeted advertising audiences and measure ad conversions. You can opt out of Meta's tracking by adjusting your Facebook Ad Preferences. The Meta Pixel is only active on the Site, not in the App.
- Consent Management: We use CookieYes to manage cookie consent in regions where consent is legally required (such as the EU/EEA, UK, Brazil, and Switzerland). In regions where cookie consent is not required (such as the United States), analytics cookies are enabled by default. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time by visiting our Cookie Settings.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): Our Site is configured to honor GPC signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will automatically treat it as a request to opt out of non-essential tracking.
4. Spam Protection
Our feedback form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to prevent spam and abuse. When you submit feedback, Google may receive information about your interaction with the form. Google's use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. reCAPTCHA operates in the background and does not require any action from you.
5. Push Notifications and Timers (App Only)
The App may request permission to send push notifications for dough timer alerts (e.g., when a fermentation step is complete or when it's time for a stretch and fold). No notification-related data is transmitted to PizzaLogic servers or any third party. All timer data is processed and stored locally on your device. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's system settings.
6. Offline Data and Local Storage (App Only)
The App supports full offline functionality. All calculator inputs, saved recipes, batch tracking data, and user preferences are stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. No personal data is transmitted when the App is used offline. No account or sign-in is required to use the App.
7. App Permissions (App Only)
The PizzaLogic App requests the following device permissions:
- Internet: Required for analytics and opening affiliate links in your browser.
- Notifications: Used for dough timer alerts (e.g., when a fermentation step completes). You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
- Background Timers: Used to keep batch timer countdowns accurate while the App is in the background.
- In-App Purchases: Required by Google Play or the App Store to process the optional PizzaLogic Pro upgrade.
The App does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or file storage.
8. In-App Purchases (App Only)
The App offers an optional one-time purchase ("PizzaLogic Pro") to unlock the Batch Tracker feature. All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) through their respective billing systems. PizzaLogic does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. Purchase history is managed by Apple or Google according to their own privacy policies.
9. How We Use Your Information
We process your information based on our legitimate business interests, including:
- To provide and maintain the functionality of the dough calculator.
- To improve our App's logic for high-altitude and climate adjustments.
- To respond to your feedback or technical support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations or protect our legal rights.
10. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with:
- Google Analytics: As a third-party service provider to process Site and App metrics.
- Meta (Facebook): Via the Meta Pixel on our Site, for advertising measurement and audience targeting. No data from the App is shared with Meta.
- Law Enforcement: Only when legally required to do so by a court order or government request.
11. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA/GDPR/Colorado Privacy Act)
Depending on your residency, you may have the following rights:
- Right to Access/Know: You can request a report of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Delete: You can request that we delete your personal information (e.g., your email from our support logs).
- Right to Correct: You can request that we update inaccurate information.

12. Data Retention
We retain personal information (such as support emails) only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. Google Analytics data is set to be automatically deleted after 14 months of inactivity.

Our services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately for deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the Site or App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
