PizzaLogic
I'm Kevin Udy, developer of PizzaLogic - a pizza dough calculator for home bakers who want every variable accounted for and numbers they can trust.
I've been making pizza at home since 2012. It started with a bread machine mixer and small same-day pizza parties - me, my sister, a few friends. Over the years the rabbit hole got deeper: home oven on a pizza stone (steel is on the upgrade list), learning more about dough, cold fermentation, hydration, & more. Style experimentation: Lloyd pans for grandma-style and Detroit, and an Ooni Koda 16 outside to experiment with high heat. Almost every weekend is another batch.
I built PizzaLogic because I wanted a more detailed, granular pizza dough calculator that I could trust to give accurate yeast recommendations - when I couldn't find one that covered everything, I decided to build it. I also wanted to give newbie pizza makers a way to ease into the skill and learn along the way.
The calculator is calibrated against real bake-test data and researched formulas - when the math doesn't match what came out of the oven, I aim to investigate, log it, and fix it. That, along with robust user feedback, the formula continues to be refined. The web app launched in early 2026; the iOS and Android apps shipped April 2026. The web calculator and basic apps are free; the mobile apps include an optional Pro tier for batch tracking, schedule helper, and expanded saved recipes.
